The benefits of being accountable.
We might think that having accountability just means sticking to the rules…
Not being able to wriggle out of stuff when we really can't be arsed getting things done.
And to a certain degree... it is.
But accountability means SO much more.
When my clients feel accountable, they take massive pride in their
achievements.
Value the goals they’ve accomplished.
And take extreme ownership for their own actions.
When this happens, they begin to consider their true potential.
And they tend to begin to eliminate anything that distracts them…
This makes them even more productive.
So, accountability isn’t just a stick to beat someone with to keep them in line…
(Although it is pretty handy
for that)
It’s also the foundation of great self-belief and confidence.
A way of thinking that allows us to grow and push our boundaries.
So, as well as anchoring improved performance,
Accountability creates an environment inside which progression can happen.
And this is why inside my coaching, accountability rates so highly as one of mine and my clients' core values.
